ServicesThe single most important thing that we do as a Christian community is to gather for public worship. On Sundays, during the week and for the special feasts of the Christian year, we meet to hear God's word, to celebrate the sacraments and to receive absolution and blessing. In prayer and worship we are assured of God's love for us and for all people and are encouraged to take the love of God out into the world. Everyone, absolutely everyone is welcome in this ancient holy place. Male and female, young and old, Black and White, it makes no difference. People from all social and cultural backgrounds are invited to participate. Please don't worry if you haven't been to church before (or not for a long time) or if you're not sure about your faith. Remember: at St Michael's, you are always welcome - just as you are. Visitors who have been baptised and who would normally receive Holy Communion at their own church, including children, are most welcome to do so at St Michael's. You may do so even if you are not from an Anglican church so long as your church subscribes to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity (eg. Roman Catholic, Methodist, Orthodox, Lutheran, Church of Scotland etc.) All other visitors are warmly invited to go up to receive a blessing. Our Services |
