Logo of Inclusive Church

'We believe in inclusive Church  - church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality.  We believe in Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation, and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.'
The Inclusive Church Statement of Belief

 A message from our vicar:

I welcome you to the website of The Parish Church of Kirkham, St Michael, commonly known to locals as St Michael's.

We are an inclusive, friendly and vibrant parish church.  Our Church community seeks to inspire and equip people for their Christian lives through worship, Christian nurture, life together and serving our historic market town.

There has been a place of Christian worship in Kirkham for at least 1400 years, and the word Kirkham means, 'Church town.'  St Michael's is part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Blackburn.

Whether you come to pray or to enjoy our Grade II* listed building, we hope that your visit allows you to engage with the peace and beauty of our church.

Rev'd Richard BundayBest Wishes,
Richard Bunday

Vicar of Kirkham
